Thomas Cusick is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the optical communications field. Currently serving as a Senior Manager at Semtech since December 2005, Thomas has held multiple positions, including Principal Applications Engineer and Principal ROSA Design Engineer, focusing on Transimpedance Amplifiers and Optical Receivers for data rates ranging from 10Gb/s to 100Gb/s. Prior to joining Semtech, Thomas worked at Bookham Technology from January 2000 to October 2005 as a Design Engineer, where responsibilities included product engineering for OC3/OC12 optical fibre receivers and designing MSA modules. Thomas earned a PhD in All-Optical Signal Processing and an MEng in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Leeds.
