Sen Wellness Sanctuary is a transformative wellness sanctuary in Sri Lanka dedicated to exploring one timeless question: What does it truly mean to heal?

Rooted in the ancient traditions of Ayurveda, yoga and meditation, we bring these practices into dialogue with contemporary neuroscience, breathwork, contemplative practice and evidence-informed healthcare. Every retreat is thoughtfully designed to support lasting transformation by nurturing the interconnected wellbeing of body, mind and spirit.

Healing at Sen Wellness Sanctuary extends beyond treatments. It is experienced through nourishing food, meaningful human connection, movement, nature immersion, community, rituals and ceremonies that invite each guest to slow down, reconnect and rediscover a profound sense of belonging.

Founded by internationally established osteopath and integrative healthcare practitioner Sam Kankanamge, the sanctuary reflects more than three decades of international clinical experience and a lifelong exploration of how ancient wisdom and modern science can enrich one another in the service of human wellbeing.

Alongside our personalised retreats, we are committed to advancing transformative healthcare through research, education and interdisciplinary collaboration. This vision is also expressed through the Sen Wellness Wisdom Library—an evolving collection of essays, reflections and philosophical journals exploring healing, belonging, consciousness, nature and the future of wellbeing.

For us, a sanctuary is never merely a destination. It is a living relationship where compassion, presence, community and the intelligence of nature create the conditions for healing and transformation.

Returning Home is the philosophy that guides everything we do—not returning to a place, but returning to ourselves, to our belonging and to the timeless wisdom that reminds us who we truly are.

Returning Home: Bridging Clinical Science, Ancient Wisdom, and the Human Capacity to Heal.
