Jim Carroll

Jim Carroll has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Jim is currently the President, CEO, and Founder of Sendal Inc starting from 2019. Prior to that, they were the Chief Executive Officer of Connected Home Advisory, a consulting firm specializing in strategic consulting for smart home innovation, starting from 2015.

Jim Carroll also served as the Co-Founder and President of Savant Systems from 2005 to 2014, where they were responsible for various aspects of the business, including P&L, sales and marketing, business plans, operations, and technical support. Jim successfully established a direct dealer network domestically and a global distribution network in international markets.

Before Savant Systems, Jim founded AViX in 2002, a home systems integration business. It quickly became one of the top system integration companies in eastern Massachusetts. Prior to AViX, Jim founded uBix in 2001, a startup technology venture focused on changing the status quo of the home automation industry.

Furthermore, Jim has held executive positions at Lucent Technologies as the Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Internet Telephony Service Provider Softswitch division from 1999 to 2001. Jim also worked at Excel Switching as the Executive Vice President and General Manager of Open Carrier Solutions, and as the Vice President of Engineering.

Jim Carroll began their career as the Director of Research & Development at Brite Voice Systems in 1992.

Jim Carroll has a diverse education history. Jim began their studies in 1978 at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where they pursued a field of study in Computer Science. Jim attended the university until 1981 but did not obtain a degree.

In 1982, Jim enrolled at the GTE Sylvania Technical School for a specialized program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Jim successfully completed an 800-hour certificate course in Electrical Engineering, which they finished in 1983.

Later, from 1986 to 1989, Jim attended Northeastern University, where they focused on Management and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business.

In terms of additional certifications, in November 2019, Jim obtained two certifications from LinkedIn. The first certification is in Big Data Foundations: Techniques and Concepts, and the second certification is in IoT Foundations: Monetizing IoT. Both certifications were obtained from LinkedIn.
