Yoshi Okubo

Yoshi Okubo serves as Principal and a founding team member at East Ventures Growth Fund since March 2018, where the focus is on providing growth-stage capital to pioneering Southeast Asian companies. The fund has successfully invested in several notable unicorns, including Tokopedia, Traveloka, Gojek, Xendit, and Carro, as well as numerous aspiring unicorns in the region. In addition to the role at East Ventures, Yoshi holds board and observer positions at various companies, including RPG Commerce, Xurya Daya Indonesia, Bibit.id, Mekari, and CARRO, while also managing portfolios for firms such as Sendo.vn, Fuse, and SYNQA. Yoshi's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Carleton College and attendance at Georgetown Preparatory School.
