Alison Buchanan

Alison Buchanan, MDEM, is an accomplished economist, professor, and consultant with extensive expertise in emergency management, data analytics, and crisis management. Currently, they serve as an economist at the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat and hold professorial roles at Niagara University, Sheridan College, and Seneca College. In their past, Alison contributed to environmental monitoring at Environment Canada and managed various projects as a senior project manager. They are also an advisory board member for organizations focused on business continuity and resilience, while furthering their education with a PhD in AI sociotechnical policy strategies for radicalization prevention at Niagara University.
