Christopher Sweeney

Principal Investigator, In The Applied Research Projects Department

Christopher Sweeney is a seasoned educator and creative professional with extensive experience in media writing and communications. Currently a professor at Seneca Polytechnic, Sweeney teaches courses including Introduction to Media Writing, Visual Media Writing, and Advanced Media Writing, along with mentoring student Capstone projects. Sweeney also teaches courses in the School of English and Liberal Studies, School of Management & Entrepreneurship, and is involved with PodSqod as a Co-conspirator and Storyteller for audio-focused projects. Previous roles include a sessional lecturer at York University, where Sweeney received multiple nominations for teaching excellence, and a screenwriter, co-creator, and copyeditor for projects including a graphic novel and various interactive storytelling formats. Sweeney holds a Bachelor of Laws from York University - Osgoode Hall Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from Huron University.
