Dean, Seneca Nanji Foundation School Of Nursing

Maria May serves as the Dean of the Seneca Nanji Foundation School of Nursing and the Faculty of Applied Arts & Health Sciences at Seneca Polytechnic since November 2006, providing dynamic leadership to a diverse team and overseeing several academic disciplines. Previously, Maria held the positions of Acting Dean and Chair of the School of Health Sciences, where accountability included academic leadership, human resources management, and employee development. Prior experience includes professorships at Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology and Canadore College, focusing on curriculum development and teaching in nursing programs. Maria began as a Public Health Nurse at the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit, gaining extensive experience in community health nursing and program planning. Maria holds a Master of Education in Curriculum Leadership from Nipissing University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Laurentian University.
