Bindiya Jha has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Bindiya is currently serving as Program Director of Interpreter Education at Found in Translation, Inc. Since 2008, they have been involved with Central MA Area Health Education Center, UMass Medical School, and the Trial Court of Massachusetts, where they worked as a Nepali Language Interpreter, Interpreter Trainer, and Language Coach. Bindiya provides professional language services to regional medical centers and the trial court, delivering critical information to immigrant and refugee clients. Bindiya also offers interpreter training, cultural coaching, and healthcare information outreach to immigrant and refugee groups. From 2013 to 2019, they played a crucial role in Caregiver Homes of Massachusetts, first as a Care Manager in the Adult Foster Care Program and later as the Clinical Practice Manager. In these positions, they coordinated multidisciplinary care for elderly and disabled patients, provided mentorship and training for caregivers, and ensured culturally aware services for Nepali and Bhutanese clients. From 2007 to 2013, Bindiya worked at Lutheran Social Services of New England, serving as a Legal Services Coordinator, Legal Assistant, and Case Worker. During this time, they supported various legal and social services for immigrant, refugee, and asylum-seeking clients. As a Legal Services Coordinator, they managed a busy legal services office with a focus on immigration services.
Bindiya Jha received a Masters of Arts degree in International Development from Clark University in 2008. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Business Administration and Management, General at Kathmandu College of Management. In addition to their formal education, Bindiya also holds various certifications, including being a Nationally Accredited Medical Interpreter, Certified Court Interpreter, CCC licensed Interpreter Trainer, Trial Court of MA Accredited Representative, BIA, USCIS, which were obtained through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
