André Abreu

André Abreu's work experience includes co-founding and serving as COO of Sensaway, a company they have been involved with since 2017. André also participated as the COO of Sensaway in a program called HATCH Blue from April 2018 to July 2018. Prior to their work at Sensaway, André was involved in the StartUP Voucher program at StartUP Portugal from April 2017 to March 2018. André also worked as a Business Developer at Tekever from May 2015 to August 2016. Before that, André worked as an Aerospace Engineer at the University of Victoria from October 2014 to February 2015. André also completed a Master Thesis project at DLR from March 2014 to August 2014, investigating the effects of 3-dimensional geometric parameters on the structural design of an adaptive morphing wingtip.

André Abreu has a strong educational background in the field of aerospace engineering. André obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, where they studied from 2009 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed their High School education at Escola Secundária Quinta do Marquês in Oeiras, Portugal, specializing in General Sciences from 2006 to 2009.

In 2012, André pursued further studies and earned a Master's Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, which they completed in 2014. During their Master's program, they also participated in an exchange program at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. At Delft, they completed the first year of their MSc in Aerospace Engineering, focusing on topics such as Spacecraft Engineering, Aerospace Structures, and Materials during the exchange program in 2012-2013.
