CEO & Co-Founder at Sensay

Caren C. has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Caren is currently the CEO & Co-Founder of Sensay, an online platform that helps English learners improve their speaking skills. Prior to this, Caren worked as the Taiwan Chapter Lead for the SoGal Foundation, where they focused on promoting diversity and inclusion in entrepreneurship and venture capital.

Caren also has experience in the pharmaceutical industry, having served as the Chief of Staff for GSK's Taiwan Pharma division. In this role, they worked closely with the General Manager to implement change management strategies and drive new global initiatives. Caren also played a key role in process improvement projects, such as implementing SAP for the Customer Service & Logistics team, leading to increased efficiency and reduced turnover.

Before their time at GSK, Caren participated in the Esprit Program, a rotational leadership development program. During their tenure, they served as an Area Brand Manager for GSK's consumer division in China, where they conducted extensive research on migraine treatment and successfully launched marketing campaigns. Caren also gained experience as an Associate Brand Manager for GSK's consumer division in the US, managing the launch of Children's Flonase and overseeing marketing activities for the Costco account.

Caren's early career includes roles at Johnson & Johnson as a Summer Associate Brand Manager, where they developed brand positioning recommendations and retail execution toolkits. Caren also held the position of Director of Business Operations at Vivo Aquatic Group, where they contributed to the rapid growth of the startup and managed daily operations and marketing activities for the largest pool management company in the western US.

Prior to this, Caren worked as a Coordinator for Executive Offices at the Los Angeles Education Partnership.

Caren C. completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism & Asian American Studies from the University of Southern California in 2007. Caren then went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration degree from the USC Marshall School of Business, which they completed in 2015.
