David Behen

Chief Client Success Officer/Co-Founder at SensCy

David Behen's work experience includes a diverse range of roles and responsibilities. David co-founded SensCy in 2022 and served as the Chief Client Success Officer. Prior to that, they worked at La-Z-Boy, Inc. from 2017 to 2022 as the Vice President and Chief Information Officer, where they managed the company's information technology department and implemented strategies for technology integration, cybersecurity, and data privacy.

From 2011 to 2017, David Behen worked at the State of Michigan as the Director of the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget, and State Chief Information Officer. During this time, they led a government agency that provided business services to state agencies and millions of citizens in Michigan.

In 2010, David Behen co-founded InfoReady Corporation and served as the Chief Business Officer. David incubated the development of a software as a service company, targeting government, university, and private-sector companies.

As the Vice President/Chief Information Officer of GDI Infotech from 2009 to 2011, David Behen developed the public sector, education, and healthcare division of the firm.

Earlier in their career, David Behen held various positions at Washtenaw County, including Deputy County Administrator/Chief Information Officer, Chief Information Officer, and Facilities Management Director/Project Manager. David was responsible for overseeing county operations, building relationships, and advocating for county government initiatives.

David Behen started their career as the Village Manager of the Village of Mattawan from 1997 to 2000. In this role, they directed village operations, managed a budget, and secured grants and bonds for community projects.

David Behen completed their Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in Public Administration at Eastern Michigan University from 1995 to 1996. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in History/Soviet Union from the same university.
