Jorge Veiga has worked in the telecommunications industry since 1997. In 1997, they began their career as a Wireline Oilfield Services Field Engineer at Schlumberger. In 1999, they became a System Engineer at Siemens, where they worked on APM-A, an ATM Access Networks Manager application for DSLAM, BRAS, Media Gateways and ATM Switches equipment. Jorge was also responsible for the integration into TNMS Core product of the STU-1 Network equipment, and was a Software Engineer and Feature Design Authority for the development of the RPR (Resilient Packet Ring) Network Manager product. In 2007, they moved to Nokia, where they worked as a System Architect for Intelligent Optical Controller (IOC) e2e integrated solution for a major customer (AT&T). Jorge was also responsible for the integration into TNMS Core, TNMS-DX and TNMS network management tools of both DWDM (hiT7300 and hiT7500) and other SDH network equipment. In 2013, they joined Coriant, Inc. as a Senior System Engineer, where they contributed to the fast integration of different optical transport network equipment. Jorge was also a System Engineer, working at IOC (Intelligent Optical Controller) e2e product solution. In 2018, they moved to Infinera, where they worked as a Senior System Design Engineer. Jorge contributed to the rapid integration of new equipment and functionalities, important for the mid-term phase-out of other products managing such equipment and functionalities. In 2021, they joined Sensefinity - Everything Connects as a System Engineer.

Jorge Veiga's education history includes completing a Wireline Oilfield Service Engineer program at Schlumberger - British Training Center (BTC) in 1998 and studying Computer Engineering and Computational Systems at Instituto Superior Técnico from 1992 to 1997.
