Scott Carpenter

Scott Carpenter has a diverse work experience spanning from 1998 to 2023. Scott is currently working at Sensor Tower, where they hold the position of Director of Engineering. Previously, at Sensor Tower, they served as an Engineering Manager, where they prioritized, designed, built, maintained, and monitored features across the Sensor Tower suite of products. Scott also drove cloud infrastructure efforts to increase efficiency and decrease cloud spend.

Prior to Sensor Tower, Scott worked at Pathmatics (By Sensor Tower) as a Principal Software Engineer. Scott played a key role in taking the company from a seed stage to its acquisition by Sensor Tower. At Pathmatics, they instituted engineering best practices, spearheaded developer hiring, and designed and built the Pathmatics Connect product.

Scott also worked at Skytap as a Senior Software Engineer, where they aided in the delivery of a new remote access solution for customers. Scott also delivered various web features and assisted in hiring decisions to rapidly scale the team.

Before that, Scott worked at Microsoft in various roles, including Software Design Engineer II for Bing and Software Design Engineer for MSN. At Microsoft, they utilized their skills in C++, C#, JavaScript, and Object-Oriented Design to maintain and extend the front-end architecture of the Bing website. Scott also designed and coded features for several platforms and managed the release process for the Fantasy Oscars product.

Additionally, Scott has experience as a Computer Science Instructor at the University of Colorado Boulder, where they introduced students to programming and assisted in grading and course preparation. Scott also gained experience as a Technical Assistant/System Administrator Intern at The Implementation Partners, where they implemented and maintained various technologies and developed intranet technologies.

Throughout their career, Scott Carpenter has consistently demonstrated strong engineering skills and leadership abilities.

Scott Carpenter attended the University of Colorado Boulder from 1999 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
