Laurent Désiré

Head of Preclinical Development at Sensorion

Laurent Désiré is the current Preclinical Development Director at Sensorion. Laurent has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on rare diseases. Laurent began their career at DIAXONHIT, where they spent 13 years working their way up from Group Leader to Executive Director R&D. In this role, they were responsible for leading R&D projects in the fields of drug discovery, diagnostics/biomarkers research, and genomics. Laurent also oversaw the development of a multidisciplinary team of scientists and technicians, and was responsible for business development and partnering activities.

In 2013, Laurent moved to Yposkesi, where they served as Head of the Cellular and Molecular Biology Unit. In this role, they were responsible for the production of gene and cell therapy drugs for rare diseases. Laurent also contributed to the company's scientific visibility by representing them at conferences and meetings, and by publishing papers in scientific journals.

In 2015, Laurent joined Sensorion as Director of Preclinical Development. In this role, they are responsible for leading the company's preclinical development activities, including gene therapy and small molecule research. Laurent is also responsible for business development and partnering activities.
