Head Of Audiology at Sensorion

Rachel Cooper has a diverse work experience in the field of audiology. Rachel is currently the Head of Market Development at Sensorion, a position they have held since December 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Cochlear, starting in 2015. At Cochlear, Rachel held several roles, including Professional Marketing Manager, Global Marketing from 2018 to 2020, Clinical Educator - Audiology, Asia Pacific region from 2015 to 2017, and Clinical Specialist on a partial secondment from February to July 2016. Before joining Cochlear, Rachel served as an Assistant Professor and Paediatric Audiologist at the University of Mississippi Medical Center from 2012 to 2015. Additionally, they worked as an Audiologist II at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia from 2011 to 2012 and as a Lead Audiologist at The Hearing House from 2010 to 2011. Rachel's earlier experience includes working as a Clinical Audiologist at the University of Michigan Health System from 2008 to 2010 and as a Clinical Fellow at the University of Virginia Health System in 2007.

Rachel Cooper has an extensive education history. Rachel began their educational journey in 1998, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Speech, Language, and Hearing Science from the University of Colorado Boulder. After completing their undergraduate degree, Rachel pursued further studies in audiology. From 2003 to 2005, they attended Gallaudet University as a postgraduate student, specializing in audiology.

Continuing their educational pursuits, Rachel enrolled in the University of Louisville School of Medicine from 2005 to 2007, where they obtained a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree. In 2014, they earned an Animal Audiology certificate from the University of Cincinnati.

Expanding their skill set beyond audiology, Rachel engaged in professional development opportunities. In 2016 and 2017, they completed the Big Picture Core Program at The Big Picture Partners LLC and obtained a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment from the University of Technology Sydney.

Rachel's commitment to lifelong learning is evident through their recent endeavors. In 2019, they completed the Essentials of Product Management course at Brainmates. Most recently, from 2020 to 2021, Rachel pursued an Executive MBA at emlyon business school.

In addition to their educational achievements, Rachel has acquired several certifications. In 2010, they obtained a Certification in Audiology from The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). In 2012, they obtained further certifications, including Specialty Certification in Paediatric Audiology and Specialty Certification in Cochlear Implants from the American Board of Audiology. Rachel also holds a Certification in Audiology from the American Board of Audiology.

Rachel's dedication to professional growth is further demonstrated by their attendance at University College Cork, where they completed the Good Clinical Practice for Medical Devices (ISO14155) certification in July 2021.
