Derek Tobin

Derek Tobin has extensive work experience starting in 1994 with a B.Eng in Telecommunications Engineering from Dublin City University. Derek then worked as a Software Engineer at Aldiscon from April 1997 to October 1997. Derek continued their career as a Senior Software Engineer at Logica Aldiscon from August 1998 to March 1999. Derek then worked as a Senior Telecommunications Engineer at LogicaCMG from April 1999 to August 2003. From September 2003 to September 2006, they served as a Senior Wireless Architect at ANAM Mobile Ltd, after which they were promoted to VP Technology, Americas until January 2010. Finally, they joined Sentaca, an IBM Company, as the CTO & EVP from January 2010 until the present.

Derek Tobin completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Dublin City University from 1994 to 1998. Prior to that, they attended St Kierans College from 1988 to 1994, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for this period.
