Guy Slocum has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Guy started their career in the Royal Air Force as a Squadron Leader, where they flew various Fighter Aircraft and eventually held a role in the UK Ministry of Defence. After leaving the Royal Air Force in 1984, they worked as the Managing Director at Hill Samuel Investment Services from 1990 to 1992. Guy then served as the Regional Sales Director at Robert Fleming from 1992 to 1996 and later became the Head of Sales at ARIG until 1998. In the same year, they founded The Sentinel International Group, where they held the positions of Chairman, CEO, and Majority Shareholder. The company has expanded to offer multiple business disciplines and has clients worldwide. In 2017, Guy Slocum founded Health Concern NZ and Health Concern New Zealand, where they currently hold the roles of Chairman and CEO, as well as Owner and Passionate Distributor, respectively.

Guy Slocum attended Portsmouth Grammar School for an unspecified period of time. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Aeronautical Science degree at Portsmouth Grammar School and RAF College Cranwell.
