Tom Furber has a diverse background in product management and leadership roles in various organizations. Tom is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of Sentr, a position they have held since April 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Smartnumbers as a Senior Product Manager from December 2019 to March 2023 and as a Product Manager from July 2019 to December 2022.
Before joining Smartnumbers, Tom worked at NHS Digital as a Senior Product Lead. Tom was involved in the development of the NHS England Open Data Catalogue and established strategic partnerships with stakeholders for content sharing. Prior to this role, they worked as an Intelligence Specialist from December 2012 to February 2014, where they engaged stakeholders and mapped key performance datasets for the organization's primary business intelligence product.
Tom also has experience working in other organizations such as Virgin Media Business and The Health Informatics Service, where they held graduate management trainee positions. Their earlier experience includes working at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust as an Analyst, where they delivered an in-house software system, developed dashboards, and implemented leadership ward walkrounds.

Tom Furber completed their Bachelor's degree in Economics and Business at Northumbria University from 2003 to 2006. Tom then pursued a Master's degree in Healthcare Informatics at UCL, graduating in the period of 2011 to 2013. Furthermore, in 2011 to 2012, they obtained a Post Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Service Improvement from The University of Manchester. Lastly, in 2018, they completed a program in Product Management at General Assembly.
