Roy Degani has over 15 years of experience in data science and software development. Currently, they are the Head of Data Science at Sentra, where they are leading the development of a new product and defining a new market. Prior to this, they worked as a Data Science Researcher at Jether Energy Research from 2020 to 2021.
From 2016 to 2020, Roy worked at Oracle in various roles. Roy initially joined as a Principal Data Scientist after the acquisition of Crosswise, a data science startup. In this role, they were responsible for designing and implementing algorithms for Oracle Data Cloud's cross-device solution. Later, they became a Senior Manager of Data Science, where they built a new product from scratch and recruited a team for its development.
Before Oracle, Roy worked at Crosswise Ltd. as a Data Scientist from 2014 to 2015. There, they played a key role in researching and designing the core algorithms for the company's cross-device matching solution.
In their early career, Roy worked as a Software Developer at Platonix Technologies, where they independently worked on various projects including online data scraping and database management. Roy also had a role as a Software Engineer in the IDF (Intelligence Corps) from 2004 to 2007.
Roy Degani obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Physics and Cognitive Science from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem from 2008 to 2011. Roy then pursued a Master's Degree in Computational Neuroscience at the Weizmann Institute of Science from 2011 to 2013.
