Manufacturing Validation Test Engineer at Senva

Walter Barrer has been working in the engineering field since 1978. In that time, they have held various roles including Audio Technician, VCR Technician, Camcorder Technician at various TV/VCR/Audio repair centers in the Portland Oregon area. In 1998, they became an Electronic Engineering Technician at C & D Technologies, formerly Celestica Power Systems, formerly VXI Electronics. This role involved supporting the design of DC - DC convertors, performing EVT, DVT, EMI/EMC and environmental testing, and writing qualification reports. In 2007, they took on the role of Electronic Engineering Technician at Avnera Corporation, where they supported the design of wireless audio ICs, designed, laid out, tested, and debugged test and evaluation boards and modules containing wireless audio ICs, and generated schematics and BOMs for test and evaluation boards. Later that same year, they became an Electronic Technician at OECO. In 2008, they began working as an OEM Electrical Engineer at Instrument Sales and Service, where they created the position and designed test fixturing for Automotive electrical and electro - mechanical parts, as well as wrote LabVIEW routines to automate testing and manufacturing processes. Currently, Walter Barrer is a Manufacturing Validation Test Engineer at Senva, Inc., a position they have held since 2022.

Walter Barrer's education history includes a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering Technology from the Oregon Institute of Technology, obtained between 2000 and 2007. Walter also has a Certificate of Completion in Electronic Systems Technology from Mount Hood Community College, obtained between 1977 and 1978. Prior to this, they attended Beaverton High School between 1973 and 1976 and Proviso East High School between 1972 and 1973. Additionally, they have a Controller Area Network (CAN) certification from SAE International.
