Matt Yates is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data engineering. Currently serving as the Sr. Director of AI/ML at SEPHORA since August 2023, Yates previously led AI and Machine Learning practices at Nexient, where responsibilities included developing predictive systems for Fortune 500 clients and fostering emerging talent. As a co-founder of DataCanary.ai, Yates focused on creating software for monitoring abnormal data, and prior roles included senior consulting positions at North Highland and operational leadership at Purchasing Power, among others. Yates holds an MBA from Emory University and a degree in Economics from Auburn University.
