Katie Monroe

Katie Monroe is a Project Manager for Service Disruption Communications at the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) since February 2023. Previous experience includes roles as a Senior Analyst in Information Design at jawnt, where Katie focused on partnerships and business development, and as an Events and Marketing Contractor at Witty Gritty, aiding local organizations with their marketing strategies. At Transit, Katie built partnerships to enhance a top-rated public transit app and supported riders during the pandemic. Earlier roles include a Summer Fellow at the City of Boston’s Mayor's Office of New Urban Mechanics, and various positions at nonprofit organizations advocating for community development and the rights of the elderly. Noteworthy contributions also include founding the Women Bike PHL program and writing an opinion column for Philly.com. Katie holds a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School and a BA in Anthropology and Gender and Sexuality Studies from Haverford College.
