Deputy Chief Communications Officer, Customer Experience

Lex Powers is the Chief Officer of Customer Experience at SEPTA and was recognized as one of the "40 Under 40" by Mass Transit Magazine and City and State Philadelphia. With a strong background in transportation planning and urban design, Lex has dedicated their career to simplifying complex transportation systems for the public, notably leading the redesign of SEPTA's wayfinding system. Lex's educational achievements include a Master of City and Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s degree from Villanova University, both of which laid the foundation for their expertise in the field. Previously, they have held various roles, including Director of Service Information Design and Strategic Planning Manager at SEPTA.
