Matthew Volgraf

Matthew Volgraf has a wealth of experience in the scientific field. Matthew began their career in 2008 as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, where they were an American Cancer Society Postdoctoral Fellow and studied toward a total synthesis of the daphniphyllum alkaloid daphenylline. Matthew then moved to Genentech in 2010, where they held the positions of Principal Scientist and Scientist. Most recently, Matthew joined Septerna in 2022 as Senior Director.

Matthew Volgraf received their B.A. in Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania in 2003. Matthew then went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, which they completed in 2008.
