Darren Ashman

Darren Ashman has over 30 years of work experience in the software engineering field. Darren started their career as a Student Engineer at Philips Radio Communication Systems in 1989, where they worked until 1993. Afterwards, they joined Philips Telecom as a Development Engineer, responsible for developing digital radio pager receivers and associated equipment. From 1999 to 2002, Darren worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Simoco. In 1999, they also started their own company, Dash Software, where they served as Owner and Director. At Dash Software, they worked on sub-contract positions at Sepura and Simoco before taking on a fixed-price contract for OPAR Limited. In 2003, Darren joined Sepura as a Senior Software Engineer, primarily focusing on the development of layer 2 (MAC) software for TETRA digital private mobile radio terminals. Darren later moved to the role of Principal Software Engineer at Sepura. Throughout their career, Darren has worked with various programming languages, including SDL, C, Delphi, C#, PHP, and JavaScript.

Darren Ashman obtained a Bachelor of Engineering with Honors (BEng Hons) degree in Electrical Engineering and Electronics from Brunel University London. Darren pursued this degree from 1989 to 1993.
