Head of Scientific Development at Seqera Labs

Harshil Patel has a strong background in scientific development, bioinformatics, and scientific research. Harshil is currently serving as the Head of Scientific Development at Seqera Labs since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Bioinformatician at The Francis Crick Institute from April 2016 to July 2021. Before that, they served as a Bioinformatics Officer at Cancer Research UK from May 2010 to April 2015. Their early experience includes working as a Scientific Officer at the University of Surrey from August 2009 to January 2010.

Harshil Patel completed their education in a chronological manner. In 1999, they enrolled at King's College London and pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biomedical Sciences, with a focus on General studies. This program lasted until 2002. Subsequently, in 2002, Harshil attended Cranfield University and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Bioinformatics. Their studies at Cranfield University lasted for a year, concluding in 2003. Following their MSc, Harshil Patel enrolled at Oxford Brookes University in 2004 for their PhD. Over a course of five years, until 2009, they specialized in Bioinformatics, obtaining a doctoral degree.
