Jiri Ruzicka

Jiri Ruzicka has worked in a variety of roles since 2016. In 2016, they were a Tourist Guide at Statutární město Olomouc and a Tutor at Škola Populo - doučování na míru. In 2017, they were an Intern at Bontaz. In 2019, they were an Intern at CEITEC - Central European Institute of Technology and Treasurer at Association Biosciences INSA Lyon. In 2020, they were an Intern at Palacký University Olomouc. Currently, they are a ML Engineer and Bioinformatician at SeqOne Genomics, where they are building Machine Learning models, integrating them into bioinformatics pipelines, and participating in the development of data environments and MLOps architecture. Jiri is also prioritizing copy number variants in DNA analysis for patients with rare diseases and prioritizing somatic variants for better diagnostics and treatment of patients with cancer, implementing variant interpretation guidelines.

Jiri Ruzicka has a diverse educational background. Jiri attended SGO from 2010 to 2016 and earned a Baccalauréat in a scientific field. Jiri then attended INSA Lyon - Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon from 2016 to 2018 for General Engineering Studies. In 2018, they returned to INSA Lyon and is currently pursuing a Diplôme d'ingénieur in the Biosciences Department, Bioinformatics and Modeling. In 2020, they participated in an academic exchange at Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic University in Bioinformatics.
