Mike McGirr

Mike McGirr has held a variety of roles in the technology industry since 2006. Mike began their career as a Lifeguard for the City of Eugene in 2006. In 2013, they worked as a Software Developer for Global Nutrition Empowerment, Nepal, and also served as a Grader for CIS 314 and a Research Assistant at the University of Oregon. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a Software Engineer for TurnKey | Agent, where they were responsible for CTO and PureScript developer for the front-end web app. Mike then worked as a Lead Engineer and Software Engineer for FP Complete Corporation from 2018 to 2021. Currently, they are a Director of DevOps and Senior DevOps Engineer at SEQSTER.

Mike McGirr began their educational journey at Marist High School, graduating in 2009. Mike then attended the University of St Andrews, studying Molecular Biology and Economics, from 2009 to 2011. In 2011, they also participated in a Summer Program at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). After that, they attended the University of Oregon from 2011 to 2015, graduating with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science. Finally, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science at Oregon State University from 2015 to 2018.
