Tamir Biezuner

Co-Founder and CSO at Sequentify

Tamir Biezuner has been working in the field of science since 2006. From 2006 to 2010, they were a Research Assistant at ARO, Volcani Center, where they worked on molecular biology, DNA transformation to pear and apple leaves, and Arabidopsis Thaliana seeds. Tamir also maintained plants tissue cultures. From 2010 to 2016, they were a Scientific Instructor at the Weizmann Institute of Science's Davidson Institute, introducing their research field to top students and performing scientific experiments. From 2016 to 2021, they were a Research Associate and Research Scientist at the Weizmann Institute of Science, working at the lab of M.D. and Prof. Ehud Shapiro. Their work included developing a novel scWGA protocol using nanoliter scale liquid handling robotics and conducting an assay for state-of-the-art single cell whole genome amplification (scWGA) kits comparison. In 2021, they became the Co-Founder and CSO of Sequentify.

Tamir Biezuner received their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biotechnology from Bar-Ilan University from 2005 to 2008. Tamir then went on to receive their Master of Science (MSc) in Biotechnology from Weizmann Institute of Science from 2008 to 2010. Finally, they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biotechnology and Genomics from Weizmann Institute of Science from 2010 to 2016.
