Ian Taylor

Ian Taylor currently serves in the Ecosystem & Scouts role at Sequoia Capital since August 2022, contributing to the development of legendary companies from inception to IPO. Prior experience includes being an Investment Partner at Pear VC from 2019 to 2022, focusing on pre-seed and seed funding. Earlier, Ian was involved in strategy at British Patient Capital from 2016 to 2018, collaborating with the CEO on raising a £2.5 billion VC fund of funds. Prior to that, Ian worked in commercial due diligence at OC&C Strategy Consultants from 2014 to 2016, assisting notable private equity firms. Ian holds a Master’s degree from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, and a Master's in Mechanical Engineering from Durham University, along with a year of studying abroad in Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley.
