Keith Joung has worked in various roles across multiple companies since 2007. Keith's first role was as the Robert B. Colvin, M.D. Endowed Chair in Pathology at Massachusetts General Hospital, where they also served as Pathologist, Desmond and Ann Heathwood MGH Research Scholar, Associate Chief of Pathology (Research), The Jim and Ann Orr MGH Research Scholar, and Associate Pathologist, and Director of the Molecular Pathology Unit. In 2008, they began working at Harvard Medical School as a Professor and Associate Professor of Pathology. In 2013, they became a Scientific Co-Founder & Consultant at Editas Medicine, and in 2014 they joined the Scientific Advisory Board at Horizon Discovery. In 2017, they became a Scientific Co-Founder & Consultant at Beam Therapeutics, Pairwise Plants, and Verve Therapeutics. In 2021, they began working as a Scientific Co-Founder and Consultant at SeQure Dx, and in 2022 they became a Scientific Co-Founder & Consultant at Nvelop Therapeutics.
Keith Joung began their education in 1979 at Marquette University High School, graduating in 1983. Keith then attended Harvard University, where they obtained an A.B. in Biochemical Sciences in 1987. Keith continued their studies at Harvard Medical School, receiving their M.D. in 1996. Lastly, they completed their Ph.D. in Genetics at Harvard University in 1996.
