Amy Liao is a board member at seqWell. Amy was previously the CEO of Azenta Life Sciences, a position they held from April 2020 to December 2021. Prior to that, they were the president of GENEWIZ Genomics Services from January 2017 to November 2018. Liao co-founded GENEWIZ in 1999 and served as its COO until 2011, when they became the company's president and COO.
Amy Liao completed a BS in Biochemistry at Nankai University, followed by an MS in Biochemistry at Tsinghua University. Amy then completed a PhD in Biochemistry & Cell Biology at State University of New York at Stony Brook. Finally, they completed a postdoctoral research fellowship in Anatomy and Cell Biology at Columbia University in the City of New York.
