Gavin Rush currently serves as the Vice President of Research and Development at seqWell, a position held since July 2020. Prior to this role, Rush was a Project Leader at Roche Sequencing Solutions from October 2016 to December 2018 and spent over a decade at Kapa Biosystems as R&D Manager, a global life sciences company dedicated to enzyme optimization for various applications. Earlier in Rush's career, a Post Doctoral Fellowship was completed at the Department of Immunology, IIDMM, UCT, following a Ph.D. in Medical Microbiology obtained from the University of Cape Town. Educational achievements also include a B.Sc and B.Sc (Hons) in Microbiology from the University of Cape Town and a Matric from Bishops Diocesan College, complemented by ongoing education at St Andrew's College.
