Luke S. has been working in the professional world since 2014. Luke began their career at Down River Ice Cream as a Server, then moved on to New England Biolabs as a Laboratory Intern in 2016. In 2017, they worked at The Castle: A Board Game Cafe as a Barista/Server, followed by Marino's Cafe in 2018 as a Barista. In 2019, Luke S. took on the role of Supplemental Instructor: Physical Chemistry for Non-Chemistry Majors at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In 2020, they worked as a Student Teacher at Goethe-Institut e.V. and in 2021 they were a Research Associate at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. Currently, Luke S. is employed as a Production Scientist at seqWell.

Luke S. began their educational journey at Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School from 2010 to 2014, focusing on a mixture of STEM and the Arts. In 2015, they enrolled at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science - BASc in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2020. During their time at UMass Amherst, Luke also completed a Dual Degree in Biochemistry and German.
