Laura Lanier

Senior Scientific Writer at Serán Bioscience

Laura Lanier has worked in a variety of roles in the scientific field. Laura began their career in 2009 as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they worked on projects focused on improving the properties of precursor carbon fiber and studying the effects of gel ageing on poly(vinyl alcohol) fibers. In 2012, they worked as a Summer Intern at Vanderbilt University, where they worked on a project on glycidol polymer systems. In 2013, they became a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In 2019, they became a Postdoctoral Associate at Yale University. Laura is currently a Senior Engineer at Serán Bioscience, LLC.

Laura Lanier began their educational journey in 2009 when they earned a B.S. in Polymer and Fiber Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Laura then continued their studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Polymer Science and Engineering in 2019.
