Byron Datus

Byron Datus has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Byron started their career in the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne Division as a Senior Radar Operator from August 1995 to December 1998. Byron then worked as a Project Engineer at M.C. Dean, Inc. in 2002. From 2003 to 2007, they served as an Applications Engineer at Stanley Security Solutions and moved on to become a Systems Design Engineer at Integrian from 2007 to 2008. Byron joined Siemens Government Services in 2009 as a Senior Product Engineer before transitioning to VT Group in 2010 as a Senior Application Engineer until 2016. From 2016 to 2019, Byron worked at Leonardo DRS as a Senior Application Engineer, and then joined SIGNET Electronic Systems, Inc. in 2019 as a Senior Security Systems Engineer until 2020. Byron then worked at Cambridge International Systems, Inc. as a Lead Systems Engineer from May 2020 to April 2021. Currently, Byron is employed by Serco as a Lead Systems Engineer starting from April 2021.

Byron Datus earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University from 2000 to 2002. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Security + CE from CompTIA in January 2019 and became a Lenel Certified Professional from LenelS2 in 2008.
