James Bastien

James Bastien has extensive experience in the field of electronics and communications within the U.S. Navy and defense contracting sectors. Current roles at Serco include positions on the TYCOM Material Inspection Team and the INSURV Readiness and Assistance Team. Previous experience includes working with Alion Science and Technology and CACI International Inc. as part of the INSURV team and serving as a TCIP Coordinator. From 2017 to 2019, James held the role of Communications Repair Officer aboard the USS CARL VINSON (CVN 70). Notably, James has also served as Fleet Electronics Material Officer and Electronics Training Officer at various command levels, emphasizing the maintenance and repair of critical shipboard systems. James' educational background includes a Master’s degree in Professional Studies in Homeland Security from Penn State University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
