John Sargent

John Sargent, CISSP, NQV II, serves as a Senior Cyber Security Engineer at Serco since December 2016, providing high-level expertise in Cyber Security for DOD customers and enhancing security postures of enterprise networks and systems. Prior to Serco, John was the President of JS Cyber Security Services, LLC, offering DOD Cyber Security engineering services and ensuring compliance with DIACAP/RMF and NIST SP 800-53 standards. John also held key positions within the US Army, including Cyber Security Division Chief and Lead IT Specialist, where responsibilities encompassed establishing security priorities, managing information security programs, and supporting software engineering projects. Education includes numerous certifications and diplomas in Cyber Security, System Administration, and Computer Numerical Control, complemented by a history of military service as a Computer Numerical Control Technician.
