Sam S. is an experienced executive with a diverse background in transport and operations management. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the Land Transport Authority in Fiji since January 2019, Sam has also held the position of Bus Business Development & Operations Director at Serco Middle East since January 2010, focusing on expanding bus services across the Middle East, India, and the Asia Pacific. Previous roles include Chief Operating Officer at I.C.T. and Bus Eireann, and Operations Director at Reading Transport Limited, where significant improvements in public perception and customer satisfaction were achieved. Sam's career began as Business Manager at First Manchester and includes early experience as Deputy Engineering Director & Fleet Engineer at Yorkshire Traction. Sam holds a PhD in Transport History from Dublin City University.
