Serenatis Bio is a Cambridge-based biotechnology company that is developing novel, precision therapeutics for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) — a severe and often misunderstood mental health condition affecting over 240 million people worldwide.

Yet, despite its scale, innovation in OCD treatment has been severely limited for over thirty years. Current options (mainly SSRIs and CBT) can also be slow to act, difficult to access, and largely ineffective. This means up to 60% of patients are left without meaningful relief and suffering from additional side effects. 

But Serenatis is taking a different approach.

Founded in 2024 by experienced drug developers, the company is advancing a pipeline of three novel small-molecule therapies - each targeting a distinct neurobiological driver of OCD and possessing a novel mechanism of action. In parallel, Serenatis is also integrating precision medicine techniques that will match patients with the treatments most likely to benefit them.
