Daniel Gritzer is the Editorial Director at Serious Eats, where they currently shape culinary content. They have served as Culinary Director since 2014 and previously worked as an Associate Food Editor at Food & Wine Magazine from 2010 to 2014. Earlier in their career, Daniel held positions as a Sous Chef at both Aix Restaurant and Beppe, and as a Catering Cook at Hudson Yards Catering. Daniel began their culinary journey with an internship at Chanterelle between 1992 and 2004. They earned a BA in Anthropology from Columbia University in 2000.
