Joseph Chagan

Joseph Chagan has extensive work experience in web development and engineering.

Joseph currently holds the position of Director, Frontend Engineering at Sermo since June 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Lead Frontend Engineer at Sermo from February 2019 to June 2023.

Before joining Sermo, they worked as an Applications Developer at Quartz from November 2014 to February 2019. Prior to that, they were a Senior Web Developer at Black Ocean Group in April 2014 and at Dom & Tom from September 2012 to October 2013.

Joseph also worked as a Senior Web Developer at Time Inc. from October 2013 to April 2014, where they played a significant role in preparing a new website design and ensuring its proper display and performance across various platforms. Joseph served as a Contract Developer at Bloomberg LP from August 2013 to October 2013.

Furthermore, they gained experience as a Freelance Web Developer at GAMEPOT USA, INC. from May 2011 to December 2012, contributing to the transition and integration of the Alteil game and site. Joseph also developed new achievements for users.

Additionally, Joseph worked as a User Experience Specialist/ Senior Front End Developer at The Children's Place from February 2011 to September 2012, where they led the front-end architecture of a new e-commerce platform and collaborated with back-end developers to improve the HTML/CSS structure, page speed, and maintainability of multiple applications.

Joseph started their career at Media Blasters in December 2005 as a Web Developer/Interactive Media Producer, responsible for porting Alteil to the USA and maintaining it. Joseph also served as a Network Administrator during their time at Media Blasters.

Joseph briefly worked as a Freelance Web Developer at DOM&TOM in 2010.
