Derrick Liu is a founding engineer at Serval and a consulting software engineer and advisor for several early-stage startups. They have previously served as a software engineer at Microsoft, where they contributed to Xbox and Outlook, and as the tech director for a progressive democratic campaign. Derrick co-founded Aerial Intelligence and r2c (now Semgrep), leading engineering and product strategy while mentoring teams. With a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Stanford University, Derrick specializes in AI and software development.
