Ilya Sokolov

Ilya Sokolov has a diverse work experience spanning from 2008 to present. Ilya started their career as a web developer at Slovo I Delo, where they worked with HTML/CSS, PHP, JS, and TYPO3 CMS. In 2009, they briefly worked as a JavaScript developer as a freelancer, creating widgets and menus for websites.

From 2009 to 2011, Ilya worked as a software engineer at uLab, a development division in a mobile virtual network operator.

In 2010, they joined Undev.ru, where they developed a p2p video streaming project, working on both the frontend and backend using JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, and MogileFS.

In 2012, Ilya became the lead developer at Yolto, Inc., leading the development of a system for online and offline shopping, focusing on backend and frontend development as well as bug fixing and feature implementation in ObjectiveC for the iPhone app.

In 2013, they joined Servers.com as a lead developer, contributing to the development of various projects, such as bare metal servers and networks provisioning, Servers.com Cloud platform, CRM, and control panel. Ilya then progressed to become the head of the development department, responsible for managing the development team and project/product management. Ilya later took on the role of product manager, where they redesigned communication patterns and facilitated faster product development and deployment.

Currently, at Servers.com, Ilya serves as the director of engineering, overseeing the engineering department, cross-department communication, and tech expertise in integration projects. Ilya has also initiated the formation of a Business Intelligence team to establish an efficient DWH system and provide insights into the company's internal and external operations.

Ilya Sokolov attended Rybinsk State Aviation Technological Academy named after P. A. Solovyov from 2008 to 2009 as a student in the field of study labeled as "1".
