Laszlo Balazs

Laszlo Balazs is an experienced professional in the field of analytical chemistry and drug design, currently serving as the Head of Analytical Chemistry for the Drug Design Small Molecules unit at Servier since August 2023. With a career spanning over two decades at Sanofi, Laszlo held positions including Head of Structure Elucidation/Analytical Technologies and Head of the NMR Laboratory, overseeing significant activities in LCMS, NMR, and structure determination of compounds. Earlier experience includes various roles focused on medicinal chemistry and analytical support at EGIS Pharmaceuticals PLC, where Laszlo developed methodologies for synthesis and analysis of biologically active compounds. Laszlo holds a Ph.D. in organic chemistry and an MSc in chemical engineering from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
