Matthew Muehling

Matthew Muehling is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in emergency services and education. Currently serving as a Captain at the Bloomington Fire Department since February 2008, Matthew has held the position of Sergeant and has also been involved in public sector marketing as a Marketing Representative for SERVPRO since April 2024. Prior experience includes roles as Risk Manager at Indiana University Bloomington and Local Vice President for the Local 586 Union of Professional Firefighters (IAFF). Matthew has contributed to the field of education as a Fire Science Instructor at Hoosier Hills Career Center and as a Life Science Adjunct Instructor at Ivy Tech Community College. Earlier career roles include a Sales Representative in pharmaceutical sales and various positions in customer service, such as at Oliver Winery. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Eastern Illinois University, earned between 1996 and 2001.
