Carmel Ortiz

Carmel Ortiz is currently the SVP of MEO Constellation Programs at SES Satellites. With extensive experience in satellite communication networks, Carmel co-founded and served as Vice President of Engineering at Skjei Telecom, Inc. from 1995 to 2016. Prior roles include Chief Systems Engineer at OneWeb, Ltd. and Vice President of Systems Innovation at Intelsat. Carmel began their career in GTE's Associate Development Program and has contributed significantly to various engineering projects throughout their career. They are pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a certificate in Telecommunications at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
