Chris FitzSimons is a Principal Certification Engineer and DO-160G Specialist at SES, bringing over twenty-five years of experience as a Project and Design Engineer in communication, aerospace, defense, and medical sectors. They have developed flight-critical and mission-critical components through various certification processes, with a strong background in metal and plastic components, and system design. Previously, Chris held positions at companies such as Intelsat, Gogo, and McDonnell Douglas Space Systems, where they contributed to numerous high-stakes projects, including advanced propulsion systems for the Space Station Freedom Program. Chris earned a BS in Aerospace Engineering from Iowa State University and an AS in Applied Science from Elgin Community College.
