Dan Pitts

Dan Pitts is an experienced veteran in the satellite, telecommunications, and ISP industries, with over 30 years in planning, design, and implementation of satellite ground infrastructure. Currently serving as the Director of Network Planning at SES Satellites, Dan has previously held leadership roles at Level-3 Communications, Hughes Network Systems, and Intelsat, among others. Dan's expertise spans IP networking, satellite technology, and business case development and is complemented by a solid academic foundation with a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from the University of Maryland. Additionally, Dan teaches as an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Maryland Global Campus, sharing knowledge in Digital Media and Web Technologies.
