Josh Powers

Josh Powers is an experienced aerospace professional currently serving as the Director of CONOPS & New Space Program Systems Test at SES Satellites since April 2014, where responsibilities include providing technical leadership for operational readiness of space and ground systems and developing system-level requirements and architectures. Previously, Josh held roles as Senior Manager for both O3b mPOWER CONOPS and System Readiness, as well as Senior Systems Architect, where notable achievements included creating the O3b Service Outage Response Team and managing the transition of new spacecraft into O3b’s operational constellation. Prior to joining SES, Josh spent over 15 years at Scitor Corporation as a Systems Engineer, supporting various programs and managing numerous launch and mission rehearsals. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The George Washington University.
